What is embodiment?

This beautiful word captures the capacity to transform information into personal wisdom by experiencing and feeling the sensations and cycles of your body as imprints of understanding and personal realizations. Amber uses a variety of modalities to inspire embodiment of healthy, balanced and vibrant living. Elemental Yoga

Elemental yoga is a unique system that integrates the wisdom of Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hatha Yoga into a holistic lifestyle practice both on and off the mat. Elemental Yoga uses gentle, physical postures to bring harmony to the 5-elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Space) within the body/mind constitution by strengthening and stretching the correlating elemental meridians. This system of yoga empowers the individual to design a more specific yoga practice to therapeutically address imbalances and to develop a closer relationship with nature, ultimately leading to a greater awareness of our own inner nature – perfect Yoga.

Elemental Yoga Therapy

Elemental Yoga Therapy uses the basics of Elemental Yoga combined with therapeutic approaches to address constitutional imbalances. Yoga sequences, breath work, mudra and meditations are prescribed to address individual needs, as a way to find inner and outer harmony.

OSHO Active Meditations®

OSHO Active Meditations® are structured meditation methods that consciously bring the practitioner from the periphery to the Centre of the storm, to that place of Witnessing, to that place where one can reside in Awareness while all continues to exist around them. By using movement or sound, combined with our full attention, we are able to step by step bring our mindfulness to more subtle sensations, moving from the outside in, eventually becoming aware of body, breath, physical sensations, emotions, thoughts & the gaps of silence in between them. It is in this place of watchfulness that we become free to fully experience our present moment. These methods use movement & sound, are easy to learn and quite profound especially when practiced in a group. Amber has been sharing these techniques regularly since 2009, including at her centre Satsanga (2009 - 2018), at international retreats, festivals and other healing centres, and now online.

Pre/Post Natal & empowered Birthing

Combining pre / post natal yoga and holistic, empowered birth training with her own experience as a birth assistant and mother of one, Amber shares insights, workshops and sessions for expectant mums, with the main aim of empowering women to have conscious pregnancy and birth experiences, as well as entries into motherhood. Sessions can be done in groups or 1:1 as a holistic guide during pregnancy, pre/postnatal yoga, birth preparation and postpartum support. Amber also offers an 90hr Yoga Alliance Certified Embodied Woman Prenatal & Postpartum Yoga Teacher Training biannually, as well as has established Embodied Woman Yoga in 2019.

Ayurveda

This ancient system of healing carries so much innate wisdom that can be applied across cultures, continents and time. Over the past two decades that Amber has immersed herself into this Science, she brings forward her personal experiences and learnings to help share Ayurveda in a modern way, allowing the ancient wisdom to be accessible in our everyday life. Trained as an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor with more than 1400 hours of study, Amber shares this wisdom through preventative / lifestyle oriented modalities including nutrition, constitutional analysis, daily rhythms and lifestyle choices. The essence of Ayurveda influences all of Amber’s offerings.

Pelvic health yoga

The pelvic landscape offers the epicentre of the feminine experience, through physical, emotional and spiritual connection. Suspended within the pelvis are our sexual organs and womb energy which give access to our creative flow, our capacity to birth in a variety of forms, the dynamics of the pelvic floor and its myriad of functions, a housing of our evolutionary energy, and a storehouse of emotions, behaviors and tendencies that make up our multi-deminsional well being. Amber has studied extensively with pelvic health professionals, as well as finds mentorship with pelvic health physiotherapists who have helped to enrich her understanding of pelvic health. She brings this knowledge into her classes for all women of all life stages.
